“Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” Teddy Roosevelt
At Comcast Ventures
Teddy sources and evaluates new investment opportunities as well as works with CV portfolio companies. He focuses primarily on consumer Internet opportunities with a particular emphasis on digital media, eCommerce and marketplace sectors on the east coast.
Before Comcast Ventures
Prior to joining Comcast Ventures, Teddy worked at SoftBank. He spent two years in Silicon Valley with SoftBank Capital and a year in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he co-founded and oversaw a set of SoftBank venture funds dedicated to early-stage, “inning one” Internet leaders throughout South East Asia. Prior to SoftBank, Teddy worked as an analyst for two years in Goldman Sachs’ Technology, Media & Telecom Investment Banking group in San Francisco, where he advised on M&A and financing transactions across the technology landscape.
Teddy received his B.A. in Government and Economics from Harvard, where he was the captain of the varsity sailing team.
Teddy likes remixing the old with the new. His favorite music genre is saxophone EDM; favorite movie is The Thomas Crown Affair (Brosnan, not McQueen); and his favorite literary genre is historical fiction (e.g., Erik Larson’s Devil in the White City). What’s fun about technology investing is finding an old concept reimagined with new enabling technology.
