“It is a privilege to learn about new business ideas from ambitious entrepreneurs seeking to redefine their industries, and to support them in achieving their vision.”
At Comcast Ventures
Gavin focuses primarily on investments in consumer Internet companies, including content, gaming, healthcare and commerce businesses. He identifies, evaluates and executes new investments and supports Comcast Ventures portfolio companies on product and growth strategy.
Before Comcast Ventures
Prior to joining Ventures, Gavin worked in Product Management at Zynga, where he was responsible for building growth features for FarmVille, and later for developing Zynga’s international product and business development roadmap. Preceding Zynga, Gavin worked at Microsoft Xbox and for Bain & Company, where he advised clients in consumer products, healthcare and technology.
Gavin graduated magna cum laude from Claremont McKenna College with a degree in Economics. He earned an MBA from The Wharton School, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar and served as President of the Family Business Club.
While Gavin has never scaled the heights of Mt. Midoriyama (Ninja Warrior reference), he has taken one of the longest elevator rides in the world, a mile into the depths of a South African platinum mine. As a result, he appreciates the importance of a good elevator pitch.
