Dinesh leads investments in marketplaces, social networks, business intelligence and data & information businesses. He oversees Comcast Ventures’ presence in Los Angeles.
Before Comcast Ventures
Prior to Comcast Ventures, Dinesh was an Executive-in-Residence at Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm, where he is remains an advisor. He was the founder & CEO of numerous companies, including Hatch Labs where he conceived of and built mobile startups from ground-up. Dinesh cofounded Tinder in 2012.
Previously, Dinesh served as a Senior Vice President at IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IACI) and held strategy, product and leadership roles at Samsung Electronics. He has worked in Investment Management at Goldman Sachs, the Global Energy Practice at Arthur D. Little and was an early employee at Mainspring (acquired by IBM, post-IPO). Dinesh cofounded Saffronart, a Sequoia-backed eCommerce marketplace and auction house for fine art & collectibles.
Dinesh earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Dinesh serves as an Advisor to American Express OPEN, Assurant Solutions, and the HBS California Research Center. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California (USC), Faculty Advisor at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and guest lecturer at Columbia Business School.
On weekends, you can often find Dinesh with pruning shears and a garden hose in his front yard, where neighbors sometimes inquire how much he charges and whether he’s looking for more work.
